Course DescriptionsAdult CPR - Adult CPR A 4-hour course teaching individuals the necessary skills to recognize and provide basic care for breathing and cardiac emergencies until advanced medical help arrives.
BabySitter Training - Babysitter Training is designed for youth aged 11-15 years. Participants will learn basic first aid, leadership skills, safe play and so much more in this 6 hour class. Class sizes are limited to ten participants and they fill up fast, especially during the summer months. If you are looking for a fun, educational course for your young babysitter, this is the perfect fit!
CPR for the Professional Rescuer - This is an in depth class for individuals seeking CPR and First Aid Training at the professional level. Candidates enrolled in this course are usually in the following disciplines/fields of work; nursing, medical, EMT’s, Lifeguards, etc. Skills taught in this course include CPR, First Aid, Oxygen Administration and more. Course delivery is approximately 6.0 hours and is only offered on an “as needed” basis. CPR for the Professional Rescuer is equivalent to the HeartSaver course offered through the American Heart Association.
Fundamentals of Instructor Training -This class is intended to introduce instructor candidates to the history, structure, and activities of the American Red Cross. It prepares candidates to teach American Red Cross specialty courses to diverse populations, and introduces the candidates to the policies and procedures of the American Red Cross. The FIT course will ensure course consistency, quality, and appropriate reporting.
Infant and Child CPR/AED - The course teaches both Infant and Child CPR lifesaving techniques in 2.5 hours. To certify in this course you must have a current CPR certification.
Water Safety Instructor-This course allows you to teach swimming lessons and watercraft safety courses. These classes are held at the various community pools and you must be 16 by the end of the course.
