Chris Ball

Leslie Black - has retired after 35 years of teaching, including ten years in Cache Valley and, more recently, in Alabama and Florida. For most of her career she was a kindergarten teacher. She was named Alabama Sate Elementary teacher of the year and was one of five teachers inducted in the National Teachers Hall of Fame in 1993. Her primary interests have been in character development and music; she has produced a successful CD on character development for children. She is currently a member of the American Festival Chorus. She and her husband of 41 years are parents of two daughters (one a professor at Ohio University, the other an MD in Philadelphia) and two grand-daughters.

Judy Crockett

Asst. Chief Will Lusk - currently works as an Assistant Fire Chief with the Logan City Fire Department. His duties include serving as the Emergency Management Coordinator for Logan City. He has been involved with Emergency Management for 13 of the 25 years he has worked for Logan City. He is a graduate of the Advanced Professional Development series of courses from the Emergency Management Institute in Emmitsburg Maryland. He holds 2 Bachelor's degrees from Utah State University in Public Health and in Bio-Veterinary Science. Will is a native of Utah and currently resides in Wellsville with his wife Brenda and their 5 children.

Emma Maughan

John Peregoy - John Joseph Peregoy, Ph.D. lives in Logan, UT with his wife Patricia, dog Fraggles & cat Jack. John is retired from training counselors and psychologists. His specialty area is multicultural counseling. John is past president of the Society of Indian Psychologists. He has served as a program consultant, trainer and program evaluator in his private consulting business. He serves the Red Cross of greater Cache Valley as a volunteer in the office, on the Disaster Action Team, and as an instructor for CPR, First Aid, and AED.

Blythe Ahlstrom - Vice Chair

Jay Black - was a professor in the Department of Communication at Utah State University for a decade before being enticed south--first as department head in journalism at the University of Alabama and more recently as an endowed chair in media ethics at the University of South Florida, from which he has recently retired. He is a university and national award-winning teacher and scholar; he has authored or co-authored 10 books, has presented more than 500 academic and professional seminars and scholarly papers, and for 22 years was editor of the *Journal of Mass Media Ethics*. He is president of the board of the Cache Valley Unitarian Universalist church.

Heidi Bleazard

Andrea Coward - Born and raised in New Jersey. Nursing degree from Purdue University. Worked as a Surgical Intensive Care and Emergency Room Nurse for 35 years. Presently on the Advisory Boards of Cache Co. Red Cross and Utah State University's Women's Center. Also volunteers at the U.S.U. Student Health and Wellness Center. Resides in North Logan.

Kathy Edwards

John Kemp- a retired electrical engineer who worked with the Space Dynamics Laboratory at USU for 39 years developing infrared measuring instruments for flight aboard aircraft, sounding rockets, the Space Shuttle and orbiting satellites. He also taught in the Electrical Engineering Department at USU. He and his wife Jean have four married children and eight grandchildren. He serves as a Regional Welfare Specialist for the LDS Church and serves on the Red Cross Advisory Board as an unofficial liaison for emergency preparedness/response with the local LDS Church.

Steve Mecham

Neil Perks - has worked for Intermountain Healthcare for the past 24 years - 21 of those at Logan Regional Hospital. He is currently the Assistant Administrator for Patient Care & Nursing Administrator and oversees 300 Registered Nurses. Previously, Neil has served as the manager of the Transitional Care Unit, Director of Intermountain Home Care & Hospice, Director of Intensive Care and Medical Services and the Director of Quality and Patient Safety, all at Logan Regional Hospital. Prior to that, Neil worked in the medicine/cardiology area at LDS Hospital as a registered nurse. Neil and his wife Andrea live in North Logan with their children and enjoy traveling, skiing, and mountain biking.

Kenneth Paskett, Web Development Intern -
started as the Accounting Intern for the Cache County Chapter in March 2007. One year later he served a short time as the Interim Executive Director, while the chapter went through restructuring. He is now serving both the Cache County Chapter and the Northern Utah Chapter with web development support.

Leslie Farmer, Client Services Associate-
born and raised in Cache Valley, started with Red Cross in the summer of 2008 as the Client Services Associate. She is excited to be serving the community. She graduated from Utah State University in 2007, and is a proud mother of two beautiful daughters.
